Wildlife

Swanfels Valley is home to a diverse range of wildlife. The region’s mix of open fields, woodlands, and waterways provides habitats for many species. Birds are particularly abundant, with king parrots, kookaburras, magpies, and wedge-tailed eagles frequently seen in the area. The valley’s woodlands and grasslands also attract species like eastern rosellas and rainbow lorikeets.

The valley is home to a number of mammals, including wallabies, and the more elusive rock wallabies that can be spotted in the rocky outcrops. Koalas, though more rarely seen, also inhabit the area, often found in the tall eucalyptus trees. Reptiles such as goannas, blue-tongued lizards, and various species of snakes are common in the region. These reptiles play a key role in the local ecosystem.
